American Mathematics Competitions
AMC Registration — Closes 17 October 2026
Enter now for the 2026–27 cycle.
AMC will be conducted offline this year. Registered students are allocated an examination centre in advance — either their own school, where approved, or the nearest approved centre. Details are shared before the exam date.
The AMC program is more than just a competition; it’s an international effort to strengthen the mathematical capabilities of our next generation of innovators. By challenging students with engaging problems, the AMC sets the stage for lifelong mathematical exploration, discovery, and achievement.
Since the first contest in 1950 — given in around 200 schools to 6,000 students in New York — the AMC has grown to over 300,000 students in more than 4,000 schools worldwide. Top scorers advance to the AIME, and from there to the USAMO and the International Mathematical Olympiad.
