The Waterloo Science Competitions develops and administers many internationally recognized contests to help to inspire the next generation of students to develop an interest in and love for physics and chemistry. They’re an opportunity for students to have fun while developing and showcasing their scientific knowledge. High-ranking students can earn scholarships and prizes from the University of Waterloo.

Sir Isaac Newton Physics Contest – SIN

The Sir Isaac Newton (SIN) exam is a test of high school physics and is offered by the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Waterloo to encourage the teaching of physics. Students participate from across Canada, the USA, and abroad.
