AMC 8 TRAINING

25,000.00

TLUPS is offering American Mathematics Competition training for the students who are appearing for AMC 8, 10, or 12. Expert trainers will give the students efficient training in problem-solving, using AMC past question banks.

A. The course content will be presented with examples and full solutions, providing clear concepts and helpful tips and tricks for international math competitions and tournaments such as AMC 8, ASMA junior, Gauss, Beaver Challenge, Math Counts, etc. Syam recommends three MAA-published textbooks as references for this course, one of which will be available to all registrants at no additional cost.

B. The course is designed to engage gifted math students who seek challenging problems and materials. It is also suitable for anyone interested in advanced mathematical problem-solving. The course will introduce creative and research-based (statistics) thinking, making it an integral part of the curriculum. The full syllabus of AMC 8 will be covered, with a focus on problem-solving and creative thinking.

C. The course will be delivered fully online and in a traditional classroom setting, employing a teacher-centered approach such as modeling, presentations, shared learning, and worked examples. Additionally, student-centered strategies like cooperative learning, discovery-based learning, and self-directed learning will be incorporated.

D. Each lecture will be preceded by reading materials and questions to ponder. After each lecture, there will be assignments, and after covering 3-4 topics, there will be quizzes. Data from assignments, tests, mocks, classroom behaviors, and engagement will be continuously monitored and made available for parents/guardians to review.

E. Full attendance and submission of all assignments, tests, and assessments are required to receive a certificate from MAA IPG. Monthly progress reports will be sent to parents and guardians. Regular one-on-one parental meetings and reviews are encouraged but optional. Certificates will be provided by MAA IPG upon successful completion of the course. All tests, assignments, and assessments will be graded and published.

F. Students enrolled in the course will be eligible for discounts on registration fees for other competitions, tournaments, and conferences.

G. Additional Information:

1. The course will consist of 12 sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. There will be 3 sessions per month.

2. Each class will have reading materials and problems to be reviewed before the start. In addition to classroom work, students will have limited homework and assignments. Topic-focused tests will be conducted after each set of three sessions, with a full test at the end of the course.

3. We will be starting three batches in July, with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 students per batch.
